Connie Lew Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 3 to Mar. 6, 2017.
Connie Sue Lew

On the morning of February 22, 2017, Connie Lew, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side.  She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Park Lew; children, Glenn Lew (Pat Booth) and Debbie Wong (Alan); grandchildren, Jeffrey Lew, Kevin Lew, Lauren Wong and Nikki Wong; her sister, Barbara Fong, and a large extended family.

Connie was born on December 1, 1930 to Lum Shew Wah and Lee Hung.  She attended Jean Parker Elementary School, Francisco Junior High School, and Galileo High.  In 1949, Connie met Park, on the 30 Stockton bus in San Francisco.  After a two-year courtship, they were married on Christmas Eve, 1951.

She was the leader of the family and a go-getter.  Connie was full of life, hardworking and determined, as well as thoughtful, generous, and supportive.  She enjoyed traveling throughout the world, especially to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Hawaii, and made new friends wherever she went.  She relaxed by shopping, eating out with friends, and watching Korean dramas.  She loved organizing get-togethers and trips with family and her many friends.  Her greatest pleasure was being with and spoiling her grandchildren, all of whom she adored.  Connie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the Tiffany Chapel at Cypress Lawn, 1370 El Camino Real in Colma, CA on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 9:45 AM.

My prayer goes out to the park & Lew Family. Connie was the supervisor at the CPUC Transportation support Staff, she was a person with Encouragement fun person always with a smile, something Connie would say If I can do some good today, If I can something helpful say, If I can help one strong, If I can cheer with a smile or song, If I can spread more happiness, I know I done my Job. she was a faithful server of God. And when the chief shepherd shall appear, she will receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. with Love.

We extend our deepest, deepest sympathies to Park and the Lew Family. Oh! We were so sad to hear about Connie's illness and then her passing. Such fun we used to have together--the laughs, the delicious meals, the cruises, and of course, getting together for dinner with Connie in one of her favorite places, Honolulu.
We have enjoyed our friendship with her for so many years and will miss her more than words can say.

To the Lew's Family,
This is a sad moment for me as my family and I traveled with Connie and her group to Hong Kong in 1988. A great travel organizer that she knew many great places in Hong Kong for bargain. A wonderful kind sincere person who always make sure everyone have a good time. When she was a manager of a department for the State of California, I'm very grateful to her when she hired my daughter to worked in her department. I still have many fond memory and good time while traveling with her.

My wife and family joins me in expressing our condolences to her loving family.
