Bentley, Constance Sue "Connie" Lennon Age 75, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family, Monday, May 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Steve Hittle officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Constance S. Bentley Memorial Fund, c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Connie was born January 21, 1942 in Flint, the daughter of Elton and Picola (Rogers) Blasdell. She attended Owosso Community Schools. She had resided in Lennon for most of her life. She was employed by Kith Haven, Swank Home, Durand Convalescent Home, and Private Duty as a nurses Aide. Connie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand. Surviving are: her children, Brenda (Michael) Root of Swartz Creek, David Bentley of Shelbyville, IN, Mitchell (Jessie) Bentley of Smyrna, TN, Matthew Bentley (Bridget Janes) of Hickory Corners, and Paula Vsetula of Middleville; 13 grandchildren, Rhyannon (Matt), Bridgette, Lindsey (Chris), Marie, Cameron, Charlie, Charlotte, Matthew II, Joshua, Jessica (Barry), Jennifer, Schyler, and Dustin; 7 great grandchildren, Mason, Lillian, Halston, Jadyn, Kaylynn, Jackson, and Gracelyn; brothers, Richard (Betty) VanDewater of Flint Township and Danny (Wendy) VanDewater of Davison; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Glen VanDewater; sister, Carolyn Raubinger; and son-in-law, Robert Hunt. Heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. I know that I cannot take away the pain that you are now experiencing, but I hope I can bring some comfort knowing that is there for you during this distressing time. He promises us that in 2 Corthinans 1:3,4, where we are told that God comforts us during our trials.
