Constance D. Dunnington, age 85 of Lancaster, passed away on May 3, 2025 at the Pickering House. She was born on July 21, 1939 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Russel and Ragna (Erdahl) Cole. Connie dedicated her life to caring for her family and others as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Lions Club and Rushcreek First Presbyterian Church. In her free time, Connie enjoyed quilting, sewing, and being involved in her church.

Connie is survived by her son, Robert Dunnington of Torrence, CA; grandchildren, Mitchell and Travis (Amber) Peer, and Daniel Dunnington; great-grandchildren, Haylie Fox, Jaxson Peer and Lucille Peer; sister, Paula (Rick) Kuempel; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert A. Dunnington, daughter, Pamela Dunnington, brothers, Edward R. Cole, Jeffrey R. Cole, Jon E. Cole, and sister, Teresa R. Cole.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Sheridan Funeral Home. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Cremation will follow services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rushcreek First Presbyterian Church, 7741 Main St, Rushville, OH 43150.
