GODDING, Constance (Connie) Mabel
(nee Billington)
November 14, 1918 – August 24, 2014
Mom left us August 24, 2014 in her own home of 66 years, where she wished to be, with her family by her side. Mom was kind, principled and had a great sense of humour. She could light up a room with her brilliant smile. A tad shy, but could easily strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Mom was liked by everyone and loved by many. She raised her children with a solid set of values. Mom will be missed by her two sons and two daughters. Norman (Leslie), Geoff, Susan (Joachim) and Frances (Eddie). She was a loving grandma to Jason, Sean, Tyler, Ryan, Kim, Stacey, Jaclyn and Kiersten and great-grandma to Mikayla, Amanda, Johnathan and Brendan who always put a smile on her face. She also will be missed by her sister-in-law, Amy, and many nieces and nephews. She will rejoin her husband John (Jack) Godding, parents Arthur and Elsie Billington, brothers and sisters, Geoffrey, Noel, Maurice, Frances and Joan, and grandchildren, Sean and Jason. Many thanks to Beth and Gina for their devotion and considerate care of Connie in her home – human kindness is priceless. Dr. Tom Barrett was mom's doctor for many years and she adored his Irish charm. To celebrate mom's life in the manner she would most enjoy, we are planning a close family gathering. Dear Fran and Family,
Although it has been many, many years since I last saw your Mom, I remember her vividly; her home, garden, and ever welcoming smile. How nice that she remained in her home until the end of her life, just as she wished. I see that it has been several years since your Mom's passing but thought I would send my condolences to you, Eddie and family just the same. Your Mom was special.

Connie will continue living in my heart. I have some special spots where only very special people can come in to.

to the entire Godding family, condolences on the passing of your beloved mother. All too often, we appreciate the greatness in people when it is too late. I will always remember the love and laughter that filled the living room at family gatherings, the wonderful Sunday dinners and the marvelous twinkle in her eye when young children were around. Memories to be cherished, never forgotten.
