Constance M. Hamilton

Constance “Connie” (nee Mooney) Hamilton, age 74, of Tonawanda, formerly of Murells Inlet, SC, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Hospice Buffalo, after a long illness. Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and M. Harriet (nee Spooner) Mooney, and had been a resident of South Carolina before moving to Tonawanda four years ago. Mrs. Hamilton worked as a Special Education teacher’s assistant in the Wappingers Falls, NY school system before retiring, and was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Andrew’s Parish in Kenmore.She is survived by her husband, John Hamilton; three daughters, Susan (Cecil) Barry, Judi (David) Beckerleg and Brenda Hamilton; a special family friend, Susan Aitken; three grandsons, James H. Gargas, Kevin D. Beckerleg and Matthew J. Beckerleg; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited.
