Constance Napodano Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 13, 2024.
Constance "Connie" Napodano, 91, of Paterson, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2024, in Little Falls, NJ.

Connie was born and raised in Paterson and was very proud of her Paterson heritage. She enjoyed a close relationship with her parents, Mary and Gerald Keegan and her siblings, Capt. Gerald Keegan of the Paterson Police Department, Mae Keegan DeLorenzo and Edward Keegan, all who predeceased her.

She fell in love with her husband, John "Muzzy" Napodano in Paterson and they were married on February 14, 1956. They lived a full and artistic life for 60 beautiful years, most of which were spent in Wayne, NJ. After Muzzy left this life, Connie moved to Little Falls to live with her family, and her family is so blessed that she did.

Connie loved all animals. She was known to cook elaborate meals just to put out in the back woods behind her house in Wayne for the woodland animals to enjoy. Connie was an excellent cook. Some of her family's preferred specialties included chicken cutlets, vodka sauce, marinated olives, apple pie and chocolate covered marshmallows. She blessed the years of living with her Keegan / Kingeter family with her many culinary treats.

Connie is survived by her daughter Ellen Napodano of Colorado, niece Verna Cody of Oregon, niece Colleen Kingeter of Little Falls, great-nephew Thomas Kingeter and wife Siobhan of Little Falls, great-niece Keegan Avino and husband Bryan, and great-great nieces McCartney and Parker, and great-great nephew Lennon, as well as many nieces and nephews and many many close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband John "Muzzy" Napodano, daughter Cynthia Napodano, sister, Mae DeLorenzo, brother Edward Keegan, brother Gerald J. Keegan, sister-in-law Ann Keegan, nephew Hon. Gerald S. Keegan, and nephew Thomas E. Kingeter.

Connie will be remembered fondly by all who knew her for her loving, free spirit and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter in Connie's honor.

Her memory will be honored in a private celebration of life ceremony at the request of her family.
