Constantinos SITARAS Obituary
It is with deep regret that we announce the unexpected passing of Constantinos (Costa) Sitaras on May 13, 2014 at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital in Montreal, Quebec. Born on June 25, 1954 in Istanbul, Turkey, Costa was the first child of Eleni Noutsiou and Georgios Sitaras. He excelled in academics, graduating from Thomas D'Arcy McGee High School in 1971 and earning a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from McGill University in 1976. Over a 30 year career, Costa held many important positions with several engineering firms applying his skills on many successful projects in the pulp and paper industry. He is survived by his four children Jonathan, Cynthia (Brian), Christopher (Natassja), and Nicholas (Constanza), his mother Eleni and will always remain the loving big brother to his younger siblings – brothers Panagiotis (aka Peter), Dimitrios (aka Jim) and twin sisters Despina (aka Des), Maria (Steven). He was a caring uncle to Christina, Stephen, Emmalee, Stephanie and Stevie. Costa had strong family values and work ethic with a passion for travel and experiencing the finer things in life. From his love of the Beatles as a teenager to his passion for politics and economics in later years, Costa was knowledgeable in many areas and he loved to share his knowledge with others. He enjoyed golf games with Joe and Nicky, movie nights with Chris, and gourmet restaurants with Cynthia. Special thanks to the ICU staff at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care. The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie - Athos, 1255 Beaumont Ave, T.M.R., on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. George's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2455 Côte Ste- Catherine, Montreal, Quebec, on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery. Coffee will be served in the church basement.

I just found out after all these years.We went to school together at Our Lady
Of Mount Royal,D arcy Mcgee High and McGill before I dropped out and went to flight school.

It is with great regret that I just learned of Costas' passing. I was a student together with him at McGill Engineering. He was always helpful in getting me to understand those fiendish problems that our profs would set! In later years, we started to correspond by email and it was great fun to hear from him. My sincere sympathies on your loss.

My deepest sympathy to all his family, friends and co-workers.
It was a great pleasure to have known and worked with him due to his solid work ethics through a delightful personality.
He was one of the special people who tremendously helped me in my career with his encouragement and support, especially during my insecure years at Sandwell, as well as being very kind & friendly both inside and outside work. I will always be grateful and will never forget him.

I've had the pleasure of working with Costa at Sandwell for approximately 10 years, he was a smart and friendly man. Costa was well liked by all his colleagues, he will be missed.

I met Costa at a northern construction site in the late 70's. I remember that first meeting fondly and was thrilled to work with Costa for many years.
He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Costa was a caring and kind person and it was my pleasure to have worked with him between 1998 and 2002 at Sandwell. His sense of humour and pride in his work are particular memories that I will always have of him. He is now in God's hands.

I worked with Castos in the late 70 at MET-CHEM and over the years every time we would meet there was always a warm feeling between us. He was great and lovable person.
