GREENSBORO — Cora Mae Gillies Jordan, 50, died Friday, September 11, 2009, at Baptist Hospital following an illness.
The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 16, at Coliseum Boulevard Church of Christ, 2116 Coliseum Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27403. Viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Cora M. Gillies was born on August 20, 1959, in Guilford County.
She is survived by her husband, Tyrone Jordan; her father Carl Gillies; two sons, Anthony (Tiffany) Gillies and Justin Jordan; one daughter, Courtney Gillies; and sisters, Dotty, Renee, Apryl, Shanetta, Anita, and Keisa Gillies, and brothers, Dobie, Carl L., and Lloyd Gillies. four grandchildren, Jordan Young, Deovion, Jakhia, and Jenasica Gillies, and a very special friend of the family, Lena Roseboro.
She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Gillies.
The family will also receive visitors at 823 Carrieland Drive, Apt. A and 219 Old Treybrooke Drive.

Anthony, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's death. I would have been there for you if I had known. Although your mother was young in age, her years had already been numbered by God.
