Cordelia and Wayne were so helpful to my sister with trapping her stray cats and getting them spayed/neutered and then returning them to Linda´s yard. My sister is as big a cat lover as Cordelia. Such good neighbors to my sister. Cordie will be missed.

I met Cordie Ross when she was just six months old, and from that moment, she became a very special part of my life. I had the privilege of being her nanny and watching her grow up, and over the years, we formed a deep bond that felt more like family than anything else. Cordie was a beautiful girl. Her kindness, intelligence, and gentle spirit always shone through. She had the most infectious smile, and I loved seeing her light up when she talked about books or cuddled with her beloved cats.
After moving to a new city, we kept in contact, though not as frequently as I wished. We communicated through text messages and phone calls, and we met during special events and occasional visits.
I last saw her at the end of June this year, and even though our time together was brief, it was significant. We shared conversations, laughter, and fond memories of her childhood. I´m truly thankful for those moments.
Hearing about her passing has been heartbreaking. Cordie and her family have always felt like my own, and this loss is deeply personal. I will carry her memory with me always with love, tenderness, and gratitude for the time we shared. My heart is with her family, and I´m holding them close in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts are with Cordelia's family. I have asked Portland's Friends of Trees to plant a tree in her memory, bringing more life into the world.

I did not know Cordie well but our bond was due to our common relationship with others in the Las Cruces caving community. What I will remember most is her forever enduring smile. I am blessed to have known her and will attempt to carry on her zest for life.

Cordelia was a force. While she taught at Brazosport College she inspired her colleagues as much as she did her students. Her footprint will be with us forever.

My heart goes out to Cordelia's family. We lost touch after our travels to France in high school and I will forever regret not reaching out. She was so very special and I will always remember the elegance and grace she brought with her presence along with kindness and empathy. Rest easy beautiful.

Cordie & I were born on the exact same day in little ol Cruces. Our spheres first merged in Kindergarten. My memories of her from K-12 are simple kindness and humble intelligence. As we carved our own way in the world there was something so sweet about sending birthday greetings on FB to someone with parallel childhoods. She was just a sweet, good soul.

Cordie was one of my favorite cousins. I remember being up at our cabin in northern Michigan growing up and remembering she always had a book in her hands. Whether it was right before bed or laying on a lawn chair listening to the waves lapping on the beach.
The last time I saw her in 2017, we connected more than we ever had prior (she was older than me and I´m not a big reader). We texted here and there since then, but I always felt connected to her even when we weren´t talking.
I will miss her calming and gentle energy, and the care she held for the many furry animals in her life.
I love you Cordie
