Corey Mitchell Obituary
A loving husband, father, and son, he leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Noemi Mitchell, daughter Liliana Mitchell, and stepson Adrian Villarreal of Dallas, TX; his mother Laura Mitchell, three brothers, Jimmy (Tracey) Mitchell, Dedrick Mitchell, and Reginald (Keisha) Hollins all of Memphis, TN, three nieces, three nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Corey received his Doctorate in Pharmacy from Xavier University in 2007 and went on to establish two successful full service pharmacy and compounding stores, one in Ennis, TX and the other in Wylie, TX.
Corey was a young entrepreneur and felt that giving back to the community was important. His hope was to give the youth of Memphis opportunities to further their education. Donations to The Mitchell Family Foundation would be greatly appreciated to make his dream a reality. After the Visitation at Sparkman Hillcrest on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Corey will be transported to his birthplace where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, August 29th at Berean Missionary Baptist Church, 1666 E Raines Rd, Memphis, TN 38116.

Corey has made us proud representing FHS Class of 97. Saddened at his departure but comforted at His presence with God. Family and friends know that Corey is with his Heavenly Father, and may you gain strength, peace, and love that only The Holy Spirit can give.

I was blessed to meet Corey via work, and I'm still stunned after learning today of his passing. Corey was a light. There's no other word. His smile, his spirit, his passion for people...his excitement about his baby girl :-) I know not everything is for us to understand, and this definitely goes in that book for me. But please know that the man you raised, nurtured, loved, and shared a life with touched so many lives and blessed so many hearts. May God wrap you in His perfect peace, and may your family be comforted by the love you were blessed to share. And thank you for sharing him with us. He was truly a gift from God.
