Cornelio M. "Cory" Ortega, Jr., 40, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home. Cornelio was born the son of Cornelio and Lori (Stoegbauer) Ortega, Sr. on October 3, 1979. He was a graduate of Sun Prairie High School and was employed as a machinist. Cory enjoyed many hobbies but especially enjoyed fishing. He was a good husband and a supportive brother who loved his family, very much. Cory will be remembered as a good person who will be missed by many. Cory is survived by his wife, Robyn of Columbus; his siblings: Raquel Ortega of Columbus, Micheal Stevens of Mount Horeb, and Cheyanne Reyna of Cadott, WI; his nieces and nephews: Samuel, Katie, Dayton, Hannah, Audrey, Aaron, and Kat Lynn; numerous other relatives and good friends, John and Randy who have been an important part of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Autumn. A celebration of Cory's life will be held at a later date.
