CORNELIUS WALKER Obituary
84 years old, of Cecil, died Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was born June 17, 1930, in Cecil, son of the late Thomas and Christine O'Rourke Walker. He worked as a maintenance man for Montour Railroad for 27 years. He also worked at Flanery Bolt Co. and Vimco Macaroni. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Fonte Walker of Cecil; two daughters, Jody (Anthony) Centore of Cecil and Lisa Ann Walker of Monongahela; three sons, Patrick John (Robin) Walker of Cuddy-South Fayette, Thomas J. Walker of Cecil, and Paul Michael (Amy) Walker of Mansfield, OH; ten grandchildren, Michael, Vincent, Joshua, and Sarah Centore, and Rachel, Sarah, Beth, Chloe, Ella, and Joseph Walker; and a brother, Hugh "Babe" (Janice) Walker of McDonald. He was preceded in death by parents; two sisters, Anna Mary Walker and Kathleen Harris; and a brother, Joseph Walker. Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the COLEMAN - TAYLOR FUNERAL SERVICES, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Rt. 50) Cecil, where Prayers of Transfer will be said on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cecil at 9:30 a.m., with Father Stan Gregorek, officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, where full military honors will be accorded by the VFW 191 Honor Guard. Family suggests donations to the Donnell House, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
