Cory Weissman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 21, 2019.
Beloved husband and father, Cory Jeff Weissman of Queen Creek AZ, died unexpectedly on January 19, 2019 at the age of 48 while on vacation in New Orleans, LA.

Cory was born in Queens, NY on January 3, 1971. He moved to East Windsor, NJ in the mid-seventies and graduated from Hightstown High School in 1989.

Cory was married to Shanna Weissman (nee Jimenez) on December 6, 1997. They were married 21 years.
Cory and Shanna moved to Arizona in 2002, shortly after their oldest daughter, Aimee, was born. Their youngest daughter, Lisa, was born in 2004.

Cory was the owner of Gateway Auto Body and Paint in Gilbert, AZ since 2004.

Cory's greatest joys were traveling with his family and spending time with his friends. He spent many years coaching various local sports teams. He delighted his family with his amazing culinary skills. He was also an avid collector of nostalgia from the Forties.

Cory is survived by his wife, Shanna; his daughters, Aimee and Lisa; his parents, Steve and Linda; his brother, Evan and his wife and children.
He will be deeply missed by his extended family through marriage; Stacey, Geena, Johnny, Lois, Aunt Karen and family.

Cory was preceded in death by his beloved brother, David Josh Weissman.

If Cory had one goal in life, it was to help others. You could frequently hear him say, "Whaddya need?" He always put family and friends first. If you needed help, Cory would be there with his contagious smile and usually a joke or two. His generous nature will always be remembered.

Cory's family are eternally grateful for the outpouring of support during this difficult and devastating time. Unending thanks go out to their friends without whom they would be lost.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
