Craig Neill Ammerman

Craig Neill Ammerman Oxnard - Craig Ammerman, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife Michelle Lapointe. Craig was an avid waterman and athlete. He loved to be on the ocean, sailing his boat, Naiad, surfing, swimming, playing beach volleyball, rowing his dory, or just enjoying the sunsets on Hollywood Beach, the place he has called home for more than 40 years. He also had a passion for skiing and loved skiing the black diamond runs in California and Colorado. He was kind, funny, and full of life, and kept his sweet sense of humor right to the end. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Lapointe, sister Lisa, brothers Dirk and Brian Ammerman, God-daughter and niece Marissa Presnell, Niece Jessica Arcara, and nephews, Nathan Ammerman and Johnny Ammerman, as well as his extended family, mother-in-law Carole Lapointe and sister-in-law Christine Lapointe.

Craig touched so many people's lives, and his infectious smile and joy for life will be missed by all of his friends and family. There will be a memorial paddle out at 10:00am on July 23, inside the break wall on Hollywood Beach, and a celebration of life following from 12:00pm-4:00pm at Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club for all who wish to attend one or both.
