Obituary Craig "Craigy" Michael Bates, 30 of Maidens was born on May 23, 1985 and entered into eternal life on June 27, 2015. Craig joined St Mark Baptist Church on September 15, 1996. He attended Louisa County and Henrico County Public Schools. He obtained his GED and then pursued a career in Customer Service at Capital one, T-Mobile and GE Lighting, where he quickly developed professionally and made long lasting friendships. Throughout his career, he was the recipient of several accolades for his outstanding job performance and leadership. His positive attitude and smile impacted everyone around him. He was loved by all and was blessed with the opportunity to create great memories with co-workers, family and friends. Craig's hobbies included a daily workout regimen at Snap Fitness. He looked forward to annual vacations to Virginia and Myrtle Beach with his family and friends. He took pride in his truck and clothes and had more shoes than Imelda Marcos. His favorite phrases were "My pockets hurting" and "That's what up!" Craig was happy go lucky, personable and jovial. He was a good son and he called his mom every day.
