Craig T Chase

Middletown Connecticut - Craig T. Chase, 48, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Terry and Mary Lou Chase and the brother of Robyn Chase, all of Bristol Connecticut.

He graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1995 and then served 4 years in the Navy, where he traveled the world on the USS Crommelin, stationed out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

During his younger years, he was involved in the Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Craig loved to cook and grill and could whip up anything from ingredients he found in the pantry. He spent several years cooking up a storm in local restaurants.

He loved working at Porsche of Wallingford and more recently at Connecticut Lighting Centers in Hartford, where he met many clients that quickly turned into friends. He had the gift of gab.

He is survived by his parents, sister, many friends and family and his special cousins Pete and Roxanne Chase and Pete, Kelly and Bo Dennis, who he loved spending time with at his happy place on Sebec Lake in Maine. During the summer, he loved boating and chasing a good sunset and during the winter, he loved ice fishing and snowmobiling. He didn't care what he was doing, he just wanted to be with his people, on the lake.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Henry and Flora Chase, his maternal grandparents Ralph and Angela DeJohn and many aunts and uncles.

His dog, Oliver Wendell Chase, was his best friend and travel companion and their combined ashes will be laid to rest in their forever Heaven in Maine. This will be private for family only.

The family would like to thank the ICU at THOCC for the care and compassion they showed Craig in his final days.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday June 21st from 9:30-11:00am at St Matthew's Catholic Church, 120 Church Ave, in Bristol Connecticut with a Funeral Mass at 11am.
