Craig Thornton Obituary
CHILLICOTHE - Craig O. Thornton, 63, of Kingston, passed away 6:15 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born August 12, 1955, in Chillicothe, to the late Robert R. and Vera L. (Brown) Thornton. On September 20, 1980 he married the former Tammy George who survives.
In addition to his wife Tammy, surviving are daughters, Brandis (Nate Green) Thornton, of Westerville, Jessica (Joshua) Lewis, of Waverly, Chelsea (Casey) Chenault, of Chillicothe, and Kailey Thornton, of Columbus; grandchildren, Delaney Roman, Piper Green, and Jaycee Lewis; brother Stephen (Jackie) Thornton, of Lakeway, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and two beloved dogs Charley and Lacy.
Craig was the owner and operator of Eastern Avenue Lumber Company and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a volunteer firefighter/EMT for Scioto Township for several years and loved gardening and farming.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tammy and Family
I am in a loss for words right now. As a parent of 4 of the players I've coached, Craig was one of the most supportive, helpful and understanding ones that I have ever had the pleasure to know. Thoughts and prayers to you, your friends and all that knew him. He will be sadly missed by many.
