Annie Bay Webb, 91, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017 in Manor Care York South. She was the widow of Rodney A. Webb who died in 1969. Born on October 17, 1926 in Whiteford, MD, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Pauline (Wilson) Bay and a graduate of the former Slate Ridge High School in 1943. She continued her education at the Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1947. A longtime member of Fawn United Methodist Church, she sang for many years in the choir. Mrs. Webb was a teller at the Delta location of the former Dauphin Deposit Bank, loved to travel and cherished her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan W. Parlett and her husband, Larry, of Airville, Carol W. Smith and her husband, Jack, of Boyertown; son-in-law, Dr. Scott G. Barnes of Harrisburg; brother, D. Wilson Bay of Annapolis, MD; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Barnes, Katherine Parlett Hetrick, Laura Parlett Good, Emily Parlett Fries, Bradley and Brian Smith; fifteen great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Barnes; and sisters, Minnie Lowe and Dorothy Cooksey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed immediately with the funeral service in Fawn United Methodist Church, 67 S. Market Street, Fawn Grove, PA 17321. Her pastor, Reverend David W. Stough will officiate with interment in Fawn Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
