Crystal Metheny 1934—2021
Crystal Metheny passed away Easter Sunday April 4th 2021 at Amberwood nursing home. She was born in Iowa in 1934 and had been living at Amberwood nursing home for the past two years were she passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Preceded in death by her parents Roy and Delores Wilson, husband Allison Metheny son Brad and sister and husband Barb and Phil Benson.
Living relatives are brother in law Warren and wife Marge Metheny. Crystal's daughter Laura, sons Roy, Harley, and Ward and wife Sabrina and step daughter Martha. Grandchildren are Chandra, Clayton, Destiny, Mariah, and Savannah. And to many great grandchildren to list.
Crystal was an avid swimmer in her youth and animal lover. She loved music and played the piano and organ with skill. Sang in the church choir for many years and played the piano or organ for the choir when needed. She loved flowers and made exquisite arrangements for the church to display. She enjoyed all crafts including drawing and painting. She enjoy working with and growing plants and flowers. She loved pets of all kind dogs, cats, birds any of Gods creatures.
She had a passion for helping animals and people. And her desire to full fill that passion of helping others her one whish at the end was to donate her body to science to help others. Because of this there will be know visitation. And there will only be a small private service for the family held at a later date.
