Family, I just saw this on FB so I apologize for my lateness. I met Mr. Coleman while working in the summer Upward Bound program my freshman year at DSU ('81-'82). He was a joy to work with and always had a smile on his face and a laugh in his belly! May God give you rest and peace in your lost.

A life friend and mentor for me. He did have that chuckle and glint in his eye that made him seem so young. I'm so glad I had a chance to chat with him around thanksgiving when I happened to see him at a store. Always smiling always in a hurry but always able to chat and tell you all about how his family was.
God will definitely accept Curtis with open arms as we mourn the loss of a good friend. Curtis is probably telling stories and making them laugh upstairs.

I met Mr.Coleman upon my arrival to Dover from Arizona to become the Associate Principal at Dover High School in 1991.
From onset I discovered his strong professional will and heart for the people of Dover.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a tremendous person.
His great examples and legacy will live forever in the hearts and minds of all the lives he touched on this wonderful earth.
May his great soul and spirit rest well in the golden gates of heaven.
A job well done down here my brother .
Sincerely,
Al Sye Sr. and Family

We are so sorry for the loss of Mr Coleman, but are so blessed to have known him.
His happy inquisitiveness and positive energy made him a pleasure to be with, and the glint in his eyes when he smiled, along with his warm, chuckling laugh will never be forgotten.
Me Coleman emitted a joy for life that was infectious, and a love for his family that was admirable.
Much love and many prayers to the family. You are in our thoughts.

Mr. Coleman was one of the first black educated men I was introduced to. He was a leader in the community and an example to those who didn't have a repredable father figure in their life. He will always be remembered as the "stern man" and we better act right! :) For that I'm grateful. My condolences to Taft, whom I graduated high school with, and the family. God bless....

We were classmates of Curtis in the 2013 Master Gardeners Class of 2013. We joked about trying to make every class and were excited about receiving our certificates. He loved gardening, especially
crepe myrtles. Curtis often spoke of visiting family in Switzerland with his wife. We looked forward to talking and joking with Curtis. Our condolences to the Coleman family.
