Curtis McClendon Jr.

McCLENDON Curtis McClendon Jr. died on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at East Jefferson General Hospital at the age of 56. He was a native of Greensburg, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA. He was a retired employee of Pellerin Milnor after 27 years. Curtis was loved by many. He is survived by his wife Josephine McClendon. He is also survived by first wife Emelda McClendon. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters Samara (Tyrone) Marbra of Marrero, LA and Lakimiya McClendon of Kenner, LA; 1 granddaughter A'Kimbrea McClendon; three stepsons Delwert and Stacey Brown and Wayne Royal; his mother Alice McClendon; 2 sisters Curtistine Williams and Mary Womack; 5 brothers Robert, Clarence, Charles, Leanderous and Bobbie McClendon; 6 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; 3 uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by father Curtis McClendon Sr, son Laterrick McClendon, sister Mildred Wren and stepdaughter Denet Brown. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of Sweet Home Christian Center, Venable Chapel Methodist Church, St. Mary B. C. and all neighboring churches; employees of Pellerin Milnor, Miss Anns Kiddie Kare, East Jefferson General Hospital, West Jefferson Medical Center, LA State Police and Ochsner Medical Center - Jefferson are invited to attend the Funeral Services from Sweet Home Christian Center, 434 Jackson St., Kenner, LA, on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Eugene Wilson officiating. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am. A motorcade will leave after service for a 1:00 pm Dismissal Service at Venable Chapel Methodist Church in Greensburg, LA. Interment: Venable Chapel, Greensburg, LA. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson in charge of arrangements.
