Cindy was my cousin. We grew up together. I can't even begin to count the number of nights we stayed together at either her childhood home or my parents'. As I listened to Craig's eulogy today, I smiled and had such wonderful thoughts and memories. Craig described it as choosing to love. I always say love is a verb. Cindy demonstrated that in so many ways. She walked the talk every single day. She and I had many exchanges online of societal events. She always stood up for the marginalized and sought justice always. I was hoping she would make a return visit to see me, but it wasn't to be. I will miss our "chats," dear one. You gave us all an inspired example of a life well lived!

Although I hadn't seen Cindy in person for awhile, we kept in touch via Facebook and text. She and Liz came to visit me in Puerto Rico, and it was as if time had not passed. I'll cherish that trip forever!

Elizabeth I´m so sorry for your loss. I´ve only known your mom a few years, when she started attending St Andrews and would fill in for our rector at times. Her homilies were beautiful as was she. Cindy walked with us in the Pride parade, she was there every month at bingo and we all adored her. She will be truly missed by all. Prayers for you and the family.
