Cynthia Dunn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 24, 2024.
Cynthia Ann Dunn (Murray), known affectionately as Cin, age 66, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on June 21, 1957, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Cynthia grew up to be a remarkable woman who was revered as a supportive wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother.

Cin's life was characterized by her unselfish and compassionate nature. She was a beacon of love and warmth, establishing lasting friendships with those she met. Her family was the centerpiece of her life. She loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Bob Dunn, and her loving children: Krystal Schleeter (Rory Schleeter), Rob Dunn (Tracy Dunn), and Scott Dunn (Jennifer Dunn). She was a proud grandmother to Christopher, Justin, Alexis, Makenzie, Max, Mace, and Willow. Cynthia also leaves behind her dear sister, Sandi Murray, and brother Jay Murray and a host of relatives who will miss her presence in their lives.

Her parents, John and Mary Murray, her brother Daniel Murray, and grandson Robert (Ro) Schleeter welcomed her into eternal rest.

Cynthia was a lifelong learner, having attended Schofield for her primary education and graduating from Fitzgerald High School. In her leisure time, she found pleasure in the serenity of golf courses and the intricacies of knitting, pursuits that reflected her patient and focused demeanor.

A Celebration of Life service is planned for November 2024, where loved ones will gather to honor Cynthia's memory through shared stories, laughter, and tears.

Cynthia's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and love-a legacy that will continue to be celebrated by all who knew her.

I was her nurse every time she was admitted. The first time I cared for her we just bonded so well and realized we went to the same church as eachother! She was the sweetest most caring person I meet!

I met Cindy many years ago when her family agreed to host a foreign exchange student - their first of several. I was the representative for the company placing these students - and Cindy and her family easily became one of my favorite families and I considered them my friends also. Cindy was always a loving caring person, not only to her own family; but, to those she came in contact with - she will be missed by many.

Meeting her at the Brookridge pro shop after a golf game. She was a burst of energy and welcomed us into the community. Michael and I will miss her smile.
