Louis Baart Obituary
Greece: Friday, May 16, 2014, at 68 years old. Son of the late Raymond & Margaret A. Baart. Brother of the late Kathleen R. Strassner, Raymond K. Baart, Margaret C. Kaiser, Mildred P. VanDeViver, Pat Baart-Garrett. Survived by loving & devoted wife of 28 years, Elaine Masiuk-Baart; son, Chad L. (Nora) Baart of ID; stepson, Dan (Bonnie) Masiuk; stepdaughter, Christine (Raymond) Sanna; grandchildren, Katelyn, Danielle, RJ, Joey, Ryan, Sean & Nicky; great-grandchildren, Ember, Aiden, Riley & Carter; sister, Virginia (Pat) Schreiber; brothers, John (Penny) Baart and William (Sharon) Baart; sister-in-law, Joyce (Chet) French; brother-in-law, Richard (Shelia) Sedor; many nieces and nephews. Louis was retired from Kodak and was a proud Vietnam veteran.
Family will receive friends Monday, 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 1301 Vintage Lane. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vietnam Vets Chapter 20, PO Box 12580, Rochester, NY 14612. To share a memory, please visit:

Elaine & family, my first post did not come up as I wrote it.....Our love, thoughts & prayers are with all of you....we are so sorry for your loss. Please know we are here for you for anything you may need during this difficult time. Louis was like another member of my family as I've known him since I was 8 yrs old!! I will miss him very much!!

Louie you were a great guy and we had a lot of fun over the years. I remember the family reunion at Sawyer Park. Bill and John remember the question you guys asked me. Scared me to death.

I'm so sorry Elaine to hear of Louie's passing. I still remember working with Lou at Kodak and remember too when he came to my mom's home as one of Santa's elves. Not sure if his red cheeks were from the makeup or if he was a bit embarrassed by his tights. I'm glad I had the chance to know him and will keep you and his family in my thoughts and prayers.
