Nellie Garza Obituary
MERCEDES, TX. - Nellie Garza, 80, passed away November 9, 2007 at her residence.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Alma D. Garza of Austin, two nephews, Carlos F. Garza of McAllen, Jaime E. Garza of Austin, two nieces, Cristina Y. Garcia and Nanette N. Garza both of Austin. Also surviving are two grandnephews, Enrique J. Garcia and Jacob C. Garza.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Mercedes.
Memorial services and cremation are under the care of Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home.

To the family of Nellie Garza, my prayers are with you. I did not know her very well but I knew her since I too have lived in Mercedes all my life. May God give you strength.

We're very saddened by Nellie's death. She was a lifelong family friend. She was a devout friend to our grandparents (Antonio and Olivia Vela) and to our mother (Minnie Vela de Stamper). We will never forget her. May God bless and bring comfort to her family.

I often remember Nellie and Virgina. They were two very fine ladies that will forever hold fond memories in my heart.
