D.E. "Mac" McSpadden, of Terrell, passed away on March 22, 2013 at his home. Mac was born December 23, 1927 in Wills Point, TX to Guy Davis and Edith (Callahan) McSpadden, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Bob McSpadden, brothers: Kenny, Dillard, Roy, and Ralph McSpadden. Mac worked for the Hunt Ranches where he worked cattle and was an accomplished cowboy and horseman. Later, he also worked with 3D Cattle Company and Earl Bourland. His love of ranches, horses and working cattle were well known to all who knew him and he was known as a Cowboy's cowboy because of his skills and knowledge. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda McSpadden of Terrell, daughter: Cathy Coulson and husband, Neal, of Kaufman; son, Gus McSpadden and wife, Sandra of Kaufman; daughters-in-law, Karen and Stephanie McSpadden; grandchildren: Jon and Sarah Dyess, Jennifer and Corey Prestridge; Jamie and Chris Lee; Stacy and Neal Crow, Cole and Kristen McSpadden, Brandi and Phillip Howie, Morgan McSpadden, and Ty McSpadden; great grandchildren: Cooper and Caroline Dyess, Corbin Prestridge, Colton Howell, Landen, Kamie, and Blane Lee, Colby McBarron, Raegan Crow, Kaylee Howie, Cheyenne McSpadden as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and a host of friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with interment to follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Sunday, at the funeral home.
