BAKER, Daisy L. On Thursday, August 01, 2018, God called home a faithful servant and warrior. Evangelist Daisy Lorraine Baker. The daughter of the late Frank and Mary Gaddis Jones. She was born on December 26, 1934 in Maxwell, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Sinclair Community College and The University of Dayton. She was awarded a full scholarship to The University of Dayton. Sister Baker's dedication to The Church of God of Prophecy became her passion for life. She has served to teach, preach and counsel children, and to those with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. Daisy retired from Dearborn Daycare Center and Daymont West BHC. Sister Baker was a devoted member of The Church of God Prophecy, Inc. in West Dayton, Ohio (her passion for life) under Bishop Willie O Metcalf, Jr. Daisy was a dedicated spouse to the late Charles A. Baker (September 13, 2014). Siblings preceded her in death: Loeretha Venable, Calvin C. Jones, Ollie M. Ray, Jeanette Jacobs and Beverly Seymour. She leaves a caring daughter, Valerie (Bishop Willie O. Metcalf, Jr).; Grandchildren: (Willie O. Metcalf, III) Fiana, Charles A. Metcalf (Shante), Calvin C. Metcalf, Kimberly; Son-Lloyd W. McKenzie, Jr. & (Donna); Son- Lloyd W. McKenzie, III, Michael, and Lauren. Daughter-Jacqueline McKenzie (Lerone-Grandson/. Daisy leave a family that is blessed and grateful to God for allowing this angel to share many memories. She has devoted surviving brothers Frank Jones, Jr, Donald Jones, and Terry Jones (Vickie); Nieces, nephews, cousins and church members and friends. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., FRIDAY, August 10, 2018 at UPLIFTED COMMUNITY CHURCH, 4251 Powell Rd., Huber, Heights, OH, with Reverend Mark Mays, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Jeffersonview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On-line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com
