Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Mae McNeil Betts will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Maxwell Baptist Church. Interment will follow in North View Cemetery. She died on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at her residence.
She was born August 8, 1942 in Darlington, SC, the daughter of Joe McNeil and Rosa Lee Samuels McNeil Black. She attended the public schools of Darlington County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Woodrow McNeil, Michael Washington, Pearly McNeil, Barbara Washington and Sarah Washington.
Survivors are: four sisters, Gloria Washington-Edwards, Margie (Earnest) Harrell, Carolyn Washington and Angelia Washington; five brothers, Tommy Washington, Benjamin (Sheryl) Washington, James Lee Paul (Donna) Washington, Anthony Washington and Victor (Diane) Washington; one aunt, Annie Mae McCall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
