Lucille BYRNE

BYRNE, Lucille (nee Forbes) 88 years, passed peacefully into Eternal Life with her family at her side on June 12, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Patrick (2001). Loving mother of Isabel and Tom Hayes, Maidstone, Veronica and Louis Benoit, Maidstone; Richard and Doris (Tremblay), Regina, Sask; Beatrice and Garnet Shanahan, Huntsville, Ohio, Suzanne (Sue) and Lou Nardone, LaSalle, Betty Lu (Becky) and Joe Tracey, Woodslee. Predeceased by Mary (1940) and Gerry (1964). Will be sadly missed by 20 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson Bernard (1996), brother Raymond Forbes and sister, Sr. Emelina Forbes O.S.U. Survived by sister-in_law Catherine Byrne. Visiting Friday 2-5 and 7-9pm. at Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame St., Belle River (728-1500). Parish Prayers Friday 8pm. Visitation Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church, Woodslee, from 9:30am. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment St. John the Evangelist Cemetery. Lucille was a retired teacher from the Essex County Roman Catholic Separate School Board, and a 60 years member of St. John the Evangelist C.W.L. Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Lucille Byrne in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady, Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held Sunday, September 29, 2002. All are welcome.
