Dale Kenneth Beresford, 80, born Thursday, September 11, 1930 in Epworth, Iowa to Arnold Beresford & Elsie (Gronau) Beresford; passed from his earthly life Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in Kingwood, Texas. Dale has been a resident of the Crosby area for a brief time, formally of Rimrock, Arizona. He retired from the United States Navy; serving his country proudly and honorably in the Korean War. In Dale's free time he enjoyed many things including traveling, game shows and cross word puzzles. What he loved more than anything were the times he shared with his family and friends who he loved so dearly. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen "Kay" Beresford; daughters, Kathleen "Kit" Klapprich & Maureen Beresford; grandson, Devin Beresford; granddaughter, Christine Hill Beresford and granddaughter, Shawnna Beresford; brothers, Kenneth Beresford, Wayne Beresford and Donald Beresford. Dale is survived by his wife, Karen Beresford; sons, Wayne Beresford & Kevin Beresford; twin sons, Shawn & Brian Beresford; daughter, Eileen Beresford; son Hugh Beresford; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Smith & husband Joe, Janet Kohl & husband Jim and Carol Miehe & husband Chuck and numerous other family and friends. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10:00am at Eternal Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary in Oceanside, California in the chapel.
