Dale E. "Bum" Genet, 71, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Dale was born Saturday, August 29, 1953 to the late Donald and Wanda (Breitenstine) Genet and lived in the Norton area all of his life. He worked for Seiberling Tire and was a mason in the Wadsworth/Medina area. He worked at Brookside Golf Course, retiring in 2017. He loved gardening, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Genet and brothers-in-law, Joseph A. Emminger, Jr. and Chuck Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. Genet of Norton; sons, David (Nicole) Genet of Norton, Randy (Melissa) Genet of Akron; grandchildren, Cameron (fiance Josh Dillinger) Genet, Carter (fiance Haley Elkins) Genet, and Julia Genet of Norton, Miley Genet of Akron, Morgan, Madison, and Marcus Mellinger of Akron; sister, Donna Taylor; brother, Don "Rocky" (Deb) Genet of New Franklin; sister-in-law, Brenda Genet of Green; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the funeral home, with Reverend Father Louis Thomas Officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Emanuel Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or Summit DD, in memory of Dale Genet.
