Dale was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a man of God. He was kind and humble. He was funny, silly, a gentle giant of 6'6, a farm boy at heart. He was intelligent and full of love and left a mark on everyone he came in contact with. He was sensitive but strong. He loved to play games, and no matter what, in his presence, he left you always belly laughing. Laughter was his gift. His mission in life was to share his love of Jesus. He loved food especially cookies, rice krispies and peach pie. One wouldn't dare to steal a bite, or your hand was gone. He was a softy at heart and loved heartfelt movies, he loved his southern gospel music, working in his workshop and outside gardening or tending to his yard. He was competitive and loved sports especially basketball. He did the best impersonation of Donald Duck. He loved his cars, and they usually had a name attached to them. He sincerely was special and one of kind and there will never be anyone like him. He loved to sing and whistle and was a jack of all trades, salesman, carpenter and painter. He lived a full life and will be dearly missed. His beautiful legacy will live on through his loved ones. If he could share one thing with you, he would share his torn-up Bible, his big cross necklace, his patriotic hat and the love of Jesus.
Dale will be put to rest on Tuesday, March 26th, in
Stayton, Oregon.
A private family celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 30th.
In loving memory, Dale loved his wife Diane more than life itself and his wishes would have been in lieu of flowers to gift her the money instead in hopes to help her now that he has gone to heaven.
