Dear Amy, I'm an old colleague and friend of Dan's. I looked for him on Facebook today see if we might reconnect after several years (I moved to CA in 1998). I was shocked and so very sad to hear of his passing. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. He was such a supportive, fun friend to me - he helped me with career issues when we worked together. The last time we talked he said how happy he was to have met and married you. My deepest condolences to you and to all those who loved Dan. Kindly, Ellie Weiser Chamberlain

Dear Amy and Family,
Dan and I roomed together as fraternity brothers at the University of Florida. We reconnected a couple of years ago, and were corresponding by email, sharing political opinions and humor. Our most recent exchanges focused primarily on his health problems, and the most recent emails bounced back.

I just learned of his death today, finding this page online. I am sorry that you - and I - don't have him with us anymore. He was a very good friend to me back in the day, and it was very gratifying to be renewing the friendship.

I hope it makes you smile to realize he was loved by people you never met!

Warmly,

Jack Day

Dan was a gentle and kind neighbor with a witty and dry sense of humor. We´ve only known Dan and his beautiful wife for a littler over a year. We could not ask for kinder and more thoughtful neighbors.

Our deepest sympathy to you, dear Amy.
