Dan Goldman

My condolences to Emily, Jack and Barbara-and all of Dans friends and family. I just happened upon this news wondering about some wonderful people I knew years ago when I was a nanny for Emily. I've been thinking about them alot lately and maybe this is why. I'm shocked and saddened.

Dan contacted me on January 24th to tell me he had missed a note that I sent him years back probably something I sent through his site, it was just me saying hello and as a fellow artist commenting on his beautiful work. It was great to chat with him after all these years with two weeks left. That meant a lot to me. I will miss him dearly. Until we meet again....

I had the pleasure of meeting Dan when we studied together at the ATC acting camp in Vermont in the summer of 1993. I was always struck by his confidence and admired his belief in himself. All of us had a fun 6 weeks up in Burlington, and Dan was a significant part of that experience. I am very saddened to hear of his passing and wish to extend my condolences and sympathies to Dan's family and friends.

Dan was one cool dude. I got to know him through high school. Im so glad he made such a lovely family. I hope to meet them sometime and hear more about him. D stands for Dan, and also for despair...

Dan was my roommate back in NYU. He was intelligent, kind and an all-around wonderful human being.

Dan was an amazing individual. So bright, so talented, so thoughtful...so truly good. He was a friend of mine during my time at NYU, and I was grateful for his friendship. My deepest sympathies to all of those who knew and loved him.

Dear Bea, Jack, et.al.,
Kieran and I just had quite the laugh recalling the past escapades of Dan and Kieran, Kieran who so looked up to the older role model that was Dan. How incredibly sad and heartbreaking, the death of one's child. We can only look to the smiles that thinking on Dan bring to mind to help us stand forward. So sorry to hear of your tremendous loss.

Dan was a student in my first class at IC 25 years ago. I remember his bright eyes, eloquent intelligence, and kindness to a new teacher. So sad.

Dear Dan,

When it is my time to cross over, I hope to see you again. I still love you and remember you often. I'm sorry that I couldn't do more to help you heal from the cancer. You are one of the most beautiful people that ever graced this earth and since you saved my life more than once, I owe you! I am wishing you the best for your existence on the Other Side. Yours in heart and spirit, always!

Bea, I'm thinking of you in this time of sadness. Your grief is unimaginable. Alex sends his thoughts to you as well. I remember Dan as a happy, laughing boy back when you and I were friends in Ithaca. My thoughts are with you.

I will never forget Dan's smile. He was such an intelligent, amazing, creative soul who touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Godspeed Dan. You were the best friend a guy could have during the greatest years of my life. I am so happy to have re-connected with you later in life and had a chnace to see the incredible man I always knew you would become. I hope your family and firends find peace soon.

Dan re-introduced me to skateboarding, now I've been still at it happily for 30 years! he was the coolest guy in Ithaca, we all envied his style and quick intellect, along with loved his kindness and friendship. I will miss you Dan, but I also know that you where keen on the Teachings of the Buddha in your final battle days, that will follow you, I have no doubt,and it will lead you to the eternal practice of Vipassana ( to see reality as it is), your happiness will be greater by the attainment of Wisdom alone. but as for this world, your will be missed with great love.

Dan was shockingly bright and incredibly kind, a loving friend who challenged people's intellect constantly. He was special, so different from anyone I knew, especially in high school. My heart breaks for the Goldman family.

Bea, Jack, Barbara and family. I am heartbroken for you, and send my deepest condolences. Dan was a very special man, and will be greatly missed. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

One of my first crushes--such a beautiful boy, and so fast... I remember him flashing away from me down a green forest corridor, my little heart hoping for a kiss. What a life, too short.

Dan and I were friends throughout Middle and High School. You will be missed. God Speed.

Dan was one of my closest friends during our teenaged years and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. My heart goes out to us all for this great loss.
