Dana Fountain Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 26, 2025.
Dana E. Fountain, a cherished soul known for her loving nature and spirited passion for life, passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on September 13, 1975, in Pittsburgh, where she also drew her last breath, Dana's life was a canvas of creativity and joy, tragically cut short. Dana's early years were spent in the city of her birth, where she was a beacon of light to her family and friends. She pursued her education with the same fervor she applied to all her endeavors, earning an Associate's degree in accounting. Though her academic achievements were notable, Dana often said that her greatest accomplishment was her family, a testament to the depth of her love and commitment. She is survived by her adoring daughter, Ashley Godfrey, and her son, Liam Connors, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Dana's spirit will live on in the laughter and curiosity of her grandchildren, Trenton and Rylee. She was a beloved sister to Jessica Fountain and a cherished Aunt and friend to many. Dana was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Fountain, and father, Bruce Fountain, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms. Dana's creative soul found expression in her writing and drawing, and she had an uncanny ability to find beauty in the mundane. Her zest for life was infectious, and she was always the heart of a good time. Those who knew Dana will remember her for her passionate embrace of life's moments, both big and small. She leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will be fondly remembered by her nephews, Antoine and Kemal, and nieces, Lyla and Aleyna. Dana's absence will be deeply felt, but the memories she created will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends. Dana's life was a testament to the power of living with an open heart and a creative spirit. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the indelible mark she left on the world and the hearts of all who knew her. Dana E. Fountain will be profoundly missed, but her light will continue to shine in the stories shared and the lives she touched.

I don't know what to say, I'm just stunned! Please accept my heartfelt condolences Jess, Ashley and the rest of Dana's Family! She was so much fun and we lost touch years ago but I'll never forget the last Halloween Party we had together! She was hilarious! I wish I would have known she only lived about a half mile away from me! With fond memories, Sleep in Peace Dana. Stu
