LANCASTER – Mrs. Dana Couch Garris, 50, a devoted wife, mother and daughter, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville.
Dana was born March 16, 1966, in Lancaster, the daughter of Randall O. Couch and Teresa Love Couch. She was the wife of David Garris.
She enjoyed working with the Moriah Baptist Association at Camp Clyburn. Dana loved children, the beach, camping and her dog, Abbey, but her greatest love was for her family. She was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.
Dana is survived by her parents, Randall and Teresa Couch; her husband of 29 years, David Garris; and a son, Dillon Garris and his fiancée, Jessica Metzler, of Lancaster.
Dana was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Garris.
The celebration of life funeral service for Dana is 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by the Revs. Jessie Adams, Arthur Vick and Catlin Rollings. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, Oct. 18, at Burgess Funeral Home; and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Matching Grant Fund at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, 133 S. Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
