I was sadden by the news that Aunt Dana passed away. I will always remember the way she smiled! I still have the children's Bible that she bought for my oldest son, and will tell him about her when we read it. My thoughts and prayers are with her beloved husband Buck and her devoting children and grandchildren. I hope she is giving MawMaw~Pauline a great big hug for me~

I was so sorry to hear of Dana's passing. My grandmother, Pauline Miller, was Dana's sister. Pauline passed away in 1999, and I hope that they are together in peace. My thoughts are with you and your family in this time of grief.

Genelle and I were saddened as we heard news of Dana's passing this weekend. Dana was one of God's special blessings to us during our time in Virginia. Her compassionate spirit and gentle smile were merely external evidence of her dedication to be the “salt” and “light” of the earth. I know that she will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her. Our prayers are with Buck and the entire family during these days. God's blessings to you, Seth

Always so positive and showing love to our family and everyone she knew or met. I never knew "Miz Hayes" to be unwelcoming or unkind to anyone. I know you all are proud to call her wife, mom, grandmother and aunt. My family was proud to call her friend.

Dear Hayes family:
I was shocked and so sadden to read of Dana's passing. I worked with her at NNPS and remember her as a delightful and cherry person. She had genuine warmth about her that made one want to be around her. Please accept my deepest condolences. I know you will profoundly miss her. ~
With sympathy,

Uncle Buck and Family,
I'm so glad I got to talk to Aunt Dana one last time before God called her home, but I'm of course sad that I couldn't have been up there in person recently. Aunt Dana was always special--a very cheerful, kind, and giving person--and I remember her and all the family gatherings very fondly. Praying for you all.

Dear Buck and Family,
Just a simple gesture of love sent your way as you say your farewell's, (but remember, it's only for a short while). God is bringing his precious ones home as their mansion is prepared and one day very soon, HE will have all of ours complete and we'll all go home. and Aunt Dana will be waiting, with Granny Morris, Mommy and Daddy Garten and all our beloved ones that have gone on before. Praise GOD!!! What a wonderful homecoming that will be.
But,,,in the present time, we will miss her, and our hearts will have those times that it is so very heavy. BUT never forget, our GOD's grace is sufficient. HE will carry you through. One moment at a time. During those times, if we can ever be of a help, or comfort, please call.
In HIS precious name,
Rick and Angie Vest (Ruby's granddaughter)

Some People Will Always Be Special
by Amanda Bradley
Some people don't wait to be asked to help out, to listen, to be there, to care....
Some people just know how to give from the heart--yet somehow, aren't even aware
how selfless. how thoughtful. how needed they are-- how many the lives that they touch.
Those people will always be special-- and will always mean so very much.
Amanda Bradley
