Dana Wagner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 8 to Feb. 9, 2023.
On February 5, 2023, Dana Lynn Karsch Wagner went home to be with The Lord at age 61. Dana was born April 17, 1961 and was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marilyn Karsch. Dana attended Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and San Diego Community College, where she studied theater and business. She was a night club disc jockey for 15 years, then an office manager for Re/Max La Jolla where she retired early and had a blast! In 1987, she married (and later divorced) Keith Malcolm Wagner, deceased, on board a large yacht in Fort Lauderdale and is survived by her son, Myles K. Wagner of Indianapolis, IN. Dana loved being a mother, throwing great birthday parties, and acting as his Cub Scout Den Leader in La Jolla. Together, they had many adventures in La Jolla Shores, the Florida Keys, and Indiana. Dana loved scuba diving, motorcycle riding, boating/tubing on Patoka Lake, kayaking, traveling, plus her pets and beautiful home. She was good at reading people and could guess peoples' astrology signs among other things. Dana volunteered at the Voting Polls in La Jolla Shores and Big Pine Key, along with volunteering at the San Diego Humane Society charity store in La Jolla, Boy Scouts of America, and was Secretary of Eden Pines Homeowner Association in Big Pine Key. She also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) 18 feral cats in McCordsville, IN, and there is one cat left which needs daily feeding. Dana knows her soul lives on and will see her loved ones again. Services will be held on February 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Fall Creek Baptist Church, 8901 Fall Creek Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256. In-lieu of flowers, please make donations to Feed Tabitha in McCordsville, IN, Kokomo Community Cats, or Forgotten Felines Florida Keys.

Myles and Blair,

The loss of a Mother & Sister is so difficult. Dana was certainly an independent & strong willed person. While I've not seen her in years, her beauty is still very evident. I hope your sadness will ease over time, as you remember the joy she provided you. May her memory be for a Blessing.

Oh, Blair and Myles .. I am heartbroken over this and send you huge love and sympathy during this terribly sad time. Dana was my friend from early days and though we were out of touch through the years, we would reconnect and always have so much fun. She is with you and all of us who were lucky enough to know her, in spirit .. her memory is and will always be a blessing. I pray that you find comfort in those memories. Rest in Peace, my dear friend. Beki Brindle-Scala
