Dane was an incredibly special guy while I was in school. We met on Face book many years later. I never knew that he looked of for me like he did. I was very small underweight, and totally involved in classical music. No very much like the other kids in my class that were a year older than me. I thank God for Dane's kindness and his understanding of who I was, and what to do to keep the bullies away from me. Through our conversations, I have learned much about his family, his children, and his military career. I am so proud of Dane, and thankful for giving his time and energy to make our country a better place. I will miss him sorely. But, I know he is in a better, happier and pain free place now. I went to Gateway High school with Dane and was in a few of his classes. He was a "good guy". I connected with him again on Facebook, and found out that you live very close to my husband and me, and always hoped that sometime we could meet up for a meal and to reminisce. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance. From what he spoke of on Facebook, he was so proud of you and his sons, and also his time in the military. I hope for comfort and peace for you and your family, and for God's love to support and keep you in your this sad time. Sincerely,
Ruth Yothers Fryar
