Daniel Joseph Azar, 62 years old of Chatsworth California passed away Saturday January 6th, 2018 in Las Vegas Nevada of a heart attack.

Daniel was born August 23rd, 1955 in San Diego California to John Azar and Flora Mae (Mickey) (Butterworth) Azar. He was the second of three children. Daniel and his older brother John and younger sister Theresa grew up in the San Fernando Valley with their mother, father, grandparents, cousins, friends and step family, Madeleine (mother) sisters, Stephanie and Ellen, brothers, Jeffrey and Michael and half siblings Timothy and Judy. Daniel graduated from Chatsworth High School in 1973.

Daniels first marriage was to Vicky Shepard with whom he had a daughter Danielle. His second marriage was to Randolyn Logan with whom he adopted a daughter Kiaira and a son Isaiah.

Daniel was in the transportation business for over 35 years. In 1982 he started working at Tradewind Charters in Westminister, California as a Coach Operator. After several years, Daniel went to work for Stardust Executive Transportation out of Los Angeles, California. In 1996, Daniel began working for Ryan's Express in Las Vegas, Nevada as a Coach Operator. In 2001, Daniel began working out of the Hawthorne, California Ryan's Express office as the Safety Director of that office. Eventually Daniel became the Corporate Safety Director for all Ryan's Express locations with his home office being in Torrance, California. His hobbies and interests were diverse. Some of what he enjoyed were traveling, going to car shows, going to Disneyland, going to church, and spending time with his family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife Randolyn, his children, all his brothers, sisters and their spouses. Daniel loved and was very loved by his entire family. He was taken from us much too soon.

A long lost friend but a true one and and great neighbor as well. I grew up next door to Dan and his siblings on Cantaloupe Ave in the San Fernando Valley and even though we lost touch after his parents moved to Chatsworth we managed to somewhat reconnect through Facebook of all things.

It shows where he got his personality from and his good nature, from his mother and father to his older brother John whom has a heart of gold as well. And his wonderful little sister Theresa with her sweet disposition and spirit. It's no wonder why he grew up to be loved by so many.

I remember playing in the front yard, spending time with the three of them who shared the same house having a blast. John giving me piano lessons and Theresa playing with my little sister. Those are memories I will never forget. It's no wonder he was so giving and caring.

Dan was always laughing and had a very positive and great outlook on life for such a young man!

He was great at things like skate boarding, riding bikes, playing hide and seek and any other game we could come up with. But most of all he was the best at being true to his friends. I can honestly say I am truly blessed to have known and had such a wonderful friend.

Dan will be sorely missed but knowing that he was doing what he truly loved as he passed into his afterlife and his kind hearted ways I am sure he will be watching over all of us, driving that big bus in the sky as we wait to rejoin him in our afterlife.

May you Rest In Peace my friend. God will watch over you and keep you as you rest your soul.

God bless you my friend, I will miss you!
