Dear Brittany and Nancy,
Lori, Courtney and I are so sorry to hear of the loss of Dan who was one of my best friends in High School at Marquette High Class of 1978. Dan always had a way of making everyone around him feel good about themselves. Dan could be quiet at times but he would get this look in his eye sometimes and you never knew what he was thinking. He could be a practical joker at times and I am going to miss him. Dan, Randy Harmon and I had a lot of laughs together in High School. I remember Randy and I went to visit him once while he was at ISU and he seemed kind of down, we asked him what was up and he said that he wanted to become a plumber and Randy told him, Dan be a plumber if that is what you want. A few months later we got together and he had just become an apprentice for Local 81. He seemed so happy then and when he and Paula moved out to CA. you knew that is where he wanted to be. As a fellow boater I know that he is sailing up there with the Lord by his side somewhere. I'm going to miss you buddy.
Your Friend,
Houli MHS class of 78'

I am so sorry I was not at Dan's funeral. I just learned of his death on the 7th. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good friend and a co-worker at United. I will miss him too.

Nancy and Brittany:
Dan's love and kindness will never be forgotten. I am so sorry that I couldn't be there during the past week. I hope that you both feel my love across the miles. Dan was a wonderful person and I am so grateful that I was able to spend time with all of you (not so long ago). Dan's eyes light up when you walked in the room, Nancy. Brittany, your father was so proud of you. Another angel was sent to heaven.

Dan's love will remain in my heart forever. I am blessed that he came into my life and wanted me to be his partner for eternity. His love and acceptance for all he met, his willingness to help friends, his kindness and devotion are gifts he has given me that I hope to be able to pass on to others I meet.

Nancy & Brittany,
I'm so sorry that Dan is no longer with us. I hope you can understand that although his time with us was brief, the way he lived his life and treated those around him will never be forgotten.

Nancy and Brittany:
I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was one of my best friends when we attended Marquette High School between 1974 and 1978. I had just recently found old pictures of his and Paula's visit to see me when I worked as a Federal Park Ranger at the Arch in St. Louis during the late 80's. He was a great guy, and I'm sure a true friend and wonderful father.
I'm so sorry that I never had the chance to get back in touch with him after he lost his wife.
My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Dear Nancy, Brittany and family,
We cannot begin to comprehend the sorrow you are feeling in losing Dan. He was a good man, a good father and a good friend. We have very fond memories of our shared moments...boating, golfing, barbecuing, the Japanese dinner. We truly hope that the knowledge that he was well liked and loved will bring you comfort during this sad time.
With deepest sympathy and love,
