Daniel Bozek

Bozek, Daniel Mr. Daniel D. Bozek, age 93 of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday May 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, son Daniel Lee, and great granddaughter Alyssa Mendoza. He leaves behind his dear children Tom (Lynne) Bozek, Mike (Sue) Bozek, Gary (Pat) Bozek; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Dan served in the US Navy during WWII, having enlisted at 17 years old. He received the WWII Victory Medal, 5 Bronze Stars in the European, African Middle East Campaign and 2 Bronze Stars in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, the American Campaign Medal, the National Defense Medal and Campaign Ribbons. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of VFW Hall #830 and Knights of St. Casimir. The funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at Arsulowicz Brothers Stocking Mortuary, 585 Stocking Ave NW. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home, where a rosary will be prayed Monday at 8:30 PM. The family would to thank Edison Manor and the Christian Rest Home Assisted Living for their loving care and support for Daniel over the past six years. Memorial contributions can be made to Grand Rapids Alzheimer's Association.
