GREENSBORO — Mr. Daniel "Archie" Cameron, 85, of Greensboro, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Blumenthal Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 28,at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, and a graveside committal will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church, Highway 24/27, Cameron, N.C.

A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Thomas Monroe Cameron and Ida Jane Darroch Cameron. He was a retired employee of Pfizer and Guilford Technical Community College. He was a long-time member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Magaline Thomas Cameron; daughters, Terry Marquez and husband, Mark of Aberdeen, Debbie Lambeth and husband, Joe of Greensboro, Tammy Smith and husband, Robert of Brown Summit; grandchildren, Ashley and Daniel Lambeth, Justin and Drew Marquez, Jordan and Shannon Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m., prior to the service, on Monday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2116 McKnight Mill Road, Greensboro, NC 27405.

Magaline and Girls
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief! I remember just about one year ago I saw you and Archie at the resturant in which I worked,that was Summit Family Resturant at that time.It had been along time befor that that I had seen you all and I know that you are wonderful people you know me from when I was just a little girl!You had stories to tell when I would wait on you at the Resturant!Magaline best wishes you were a great wife and mother,my mom says her thoughts and prayers go out to you and the girls as well!

Dear Magaline and girls,
We send you our love, sympathy,and prayers. We have so many wonderful memeories of the 5 years we lived across from you on Harte Pl. All of you were a very important part of our lives when we first moved South.
We loved the stories Archie told us about growing up down here. Of course Tammy was one of the best babysitters!!!! Magaline, we know you will miss him greatly, but know he loved you greatly.
