I've known the Cooks for almost my entire life! I grew up with Lori and we spent most of our childhood together! I called Dan and Ann "mom and dad"! I don't think I ever addressed them by their first names! Their home was always very welcoming! When they moved to Phoenix, I visited often until I moved here a few years ago! One of my fondest memories is jumping in the car as teenagers and "mom and dad" drove Lori and I to the Grand Canyon and all over Northern Arizona! I loved it and it was so much fun! Another memory is shortly after moving here, we all went hiking! He loved the moonlit nature hikes in the Estrella's! I will always have very fond memories of him and he will be deeply missed!

Mr and Mrs. Cook we're my second family. They always included me as one of their own. There was always a place at the table for me for dinner if I was there. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for them. Karla Morton

I couldn't have asked to have a better man or father to raise me. I was adopted and received the best parents any kid could wish for. My dad was the most caring, patient, loving, forgiving father ever. I always knew I was loved as if I was his own biological daughter. He always told me that I was chosen. My dad helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life without judgement or disappointment in my decisions. He taught me to love God and to put Him first. He introduced me to all sorts of different aspects and things in life. Some of my fondest memories are of our father/daughter trips together. We managed to have fun in any given circumstance. I grew to know my dad better as I got older and wiser. I miss him so much and will always love him. Dad I was blessed to have you as my father. I know that you are receiving your reward in heaven for all your years of faithful service to God. You are with your sweetheart and love of your life. Give mom a hug for me. I love you both so much and miss you immensely.
Your daughter, Lori

We thought the world of Dan.He after all married us 21 years ago.He and his wife Ann were a big part of our lives and we both had the uttermost respect for both of them..We knew Dan was struggling and alhis health was fading fast but we received so much strength when we would see him sitting in the church pew rows ahead of us.Your work on earth is done and you have achieved your goal..rest in peace dear friend.

To the many wonderful friends and family of my beloved Uncle Danny, it is not often, that the passing of one's soul, can leave such a impressionable hole in the time space continuum, but, Uncle Danny, you are leaving a hole. Many will miss having you in their life.
And I could hear Uncle Danny say, "Hi Dad, hi Mom, and my most beloved Shirley, and my already evolved brothers and sister, we are together again, in heaven, as on earth".
