Daniel Cummins Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 16 to Nov. 17, 2011.

CUMMINS, Daniel Lee
"Dan"

"Now rest in peace
as you go with the Son."

On November 10, 2011 Daniel (Dan) Lee Cummins passed from this world into the next. Dan was born August 12, 1964 in Longmont, Colorado. He was 47 years old. Dan loved hunting, camping, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He was always happiest among the trees and mountains. Dan loved football and his favorite team was the Denver Bronco's. During football season it was hard to pry him from watching his favorite sport, especially if the Bronco's were on.
Dan had just celebrated his 25th anniversary with his wife Leza Cummins. He was ever a devoted husband and Leza was the love of his life. Dan loved sharing his favorite things and places with his wife and children.
Dan is survived by wife Leza Cummins, mother Dorthy Crane, father Bobby Cummins, and brother David Cummins, son Jesse Cummins, daughters Aleisha Simpson, Diana Bruner, Shannon Cummins as well as five grandchildren who adored their Grand-papa. Dan is sorely missed and his absence has left us all breathless. He was always a kind person who never met a stranger and everyone was his friend.
Service to be held this Sunday, November 20 at 12pm at Inland Northwest Wildlife Council. Reception held immediately after.

I have known Dan more than 30 years. He loved his famly, worked hard to support them for many years and gave of himself to be a Good Dad and friend with all of his heart He was a great cook and made the best perch I ever ate in my life. Hunter Fisher dedicated, loyal.....we'll miss you Dan and we don't understand why this had to happen but cherish the memory of you and know that it was the desire of your heart for your family to be okay..So I pray "Dear Father' In Jesus' name, let them be okay and recover from all of this and let them receive from you what is needed, during this tragic and grievious time". Blessed are those who mourn for they SHALL be Comforted"....amen

Leza, Jesse, Aleisha, Diana and Shannon;
May the Lord comfort you and may His Holy Spirit remind you of the hope we have in Him. We shall see Dan again, we shall be glorified with Christ, we shall be like Him and have no pain, no tears. Dan is more alive now than when he was with us. I pray there will be the knowledge of Christ's forgiveness and welcoming presence there with each of you. When we are in Jesus, we have no sin or past only a future hope and any time the enemy reminds us of our failures/short comings we can tell him where his short future lies, in the lake of fire!! Thanking Jesus I got to know each one of you. Hold fast and know that God is in control and knows the number of our days before we are born. Blessings to each of you and big hugs.
