Daniel Delisle

Dear Patty and family, I am deeply saddened yet profoundly inspired by the enduring legacy of Danny´s life. He was a shining example of true friendship and stood by us through thick and thin, especially during the difficult times following Carl´s passing. I will always treasure the memory of the day he received the Carl Anania Good Sportsmanship memorial award, a testament to his exceptional character that resonated deeply with me, our son Michael, and Carl´s family.

I´ve had a lot of friends in my life, but never anyone quite like Dan. Every cribbage game was an adventure. We discussed our lives situation, past life situations, and other people`s life situations. Life at Lincoln Arms Park will never be the same for me without his big smile and pointed advice. WOW I guess I´ve been double Skunked!RIP big guy!

Growing up with Dan and his family will always be cherished memories. Showing up at Peverley hill you never knew what you would be getting into, like helping split wood so we all could go dirt biking before the day was done. Many memories! God Speed Dan!!

We had some great memories in high school. Your nickname was "farmer Dan." I remember you coming over to the Wrens Nest. My mom loved you. First boy I dated in high school. Your family was so nice to me. I remember your house on Peverly Hill Rd. I remember you scared the crap out of me when we went snowmobiling in your back woods. I held on tight that´s for sure so long ago. You were always a gentleman and now at home with the Lord.

Dan (The Man) as myself and Kevin Leonard called him. Brought us to our first Meredith Ice fishing derby, and many times after that.

Dan was a true gentleman. The gentle giant. I loved growing up around the Peverly Hill gang. What a smile.

Pat and Nate and all other affected by Danny´s passing, I pray we all have some piece of mind. He will be greatly missed. I was just fortunate to spend his last day on earth with him. He will be GREATLY missed

Dan lived around the corner from us at Lincoln Arms. Whenever I needed something fixed or built, Dan would show up with his variety of solutions, sometimes helpful and at other times, "whacky". Every time I wandered to the workshop with a project, I often wondered if Dan was thinking, "Oh goodness, here comes Karen again." But that was never the case because Dan was always willing to assist. He also loved to take Andrew, our special needs son, for long rides on the golf cart. We will miss Dan´s bigger than life personality, and his gracious spirit. Patty, we send our love and prayers to you and your family.

Played softball for years with Dan. Sometimes with him sometimes opposing him. He hit a few out of the park off me. After years of pitching to him and trying to keep him from hitting a home run off me, when the league had a home run hitting contest, he asked me to pitch for him. Then, there I was trying to let him head home runs off me. Of all the pitchers in the league he chose me to pitch to him. This is just my best memory about him, other than just hanging around after games having a few beers. So Dan, hit one out of the park for us all up there. Then have a cold one. Mike 'Cappy' Capalare

Big Dan was very special. Remember his smile and humor as well as his encouragement to Joey and all the boys. He a wonderful asset at sporting and sc events.

Fishing, woodworking, trap shooting, golfing, gambling, many of us did these things with Danny. Great memories. Going to miss the big guy.

Danny was such a friend to me and our family. My kids and grandkids just cherished the time he spent with them. Danny never ask me for anything in return but the key to the excavator because I didn't know what I was doing. That was a true statement and this last winter he could do wonders with it. He was generous in so many ways but it was him giving of his time that meant so much. We pray God would comfort Patty and Nate during this time of sorrow. I felt honored to have known him.

My husband Jerry Busler and I, Julie Busler, had a few fun visits with Dan here at Lincoln Arms. He will be missed. We are so, sorry for his loss.

He was bigger than life and will never be forgotten. Many of us are lucky enough to have his woodworking items.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. We all loved him.

Our deepest condolences on your loss. Big Dan was an amazing and wonderful human being. I will always cherish the adventures he would take Nate and I on after school. And i will never forget about the secret spot of Modaff road where he would take us to go look for deer. He made everything so fun. Sending our love and prayers.

Condolences to Dan´s wife, their family and extended families. Dan & I had some fun on the same team in Babe Ruth summer baseball league back in the `70-`72 era. We walked the halls of PHS together. I´m sad he left us to soon.

I was shocked when I saw Cheryl´s post. I remember Dan loved to drive around the park and always had a funny story or joke to share. Patty, my prayers and thoughts are surely with you and your family during this difficult time.

Oh Pat, I am so very sad to read this & my heart breaks for you. You, Nate & all who loved Danny will be in my prayers. My sincerest condolences.
