Daniel Donlon Obituary
Born in Pompton Plains on October 16, 1990, Daniel was the son of Patrick J. Donlon and Denise J. (Moll) Donlon. Raised in Pompton Plains, he attended Holy Spirit School for 6 years before entering the Pequannock Township School System. During his high school years, Daniel greatly enjoyed playing for the PTHS Men's Lacrosse Team. He also loved paintball and skateboarding, and was a talented artist as well. He was skilled in drawing and photography, and was studying how to create insightful graffiti. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Among Daniel's many friends and loving family, he will be remembered for his great sense of humor, tenacity, strength and courageous demeanor during his long illness. Daniel is survived by his parents, Patrick J. Donlon and Denise J. Donlon; his brother, Ryan C. Donlon; his aunt and Godmother, Rose Marie Donlon; his aunts, Maryann Schweer and her husband Gregory, and Patricia Meyers; his uncle, Michael F. Donlon; his step-grandmother, Barbara Moll; his cousins, Christopher Donlon and his wife Nicole, Timothy Donlon, Jessica Schweer Gurzo and her husband Paul, Kevin Schweer, Cynthia Schweer Kendall and her husband Eric, David Schweer, and Shawn Meyers; and his everloving son, "Staples" (dog). He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Rose Donlon, and his maternal grandparents, William and Joan Moll.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 20 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit RC Church, Pequannock. A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 21 at Holy Spirit RC Church. Burial will follow at the First Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Daniel P. Donlon Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o 3 Elm Road, Pompton Plains, NJ for the Pequannock Township High School Lacrosse Program would be greatly appreciated by his family.

Our heartfelt sympathy and compassion are with you, as you deal with the loss of Dan, who was such a wonderful young man. While it is difficult to understand why Dan was taken away from us, we have to believe that he is now resting his head in God's hands; and his suffering is over. I will always think of Dan with a smile, as I know how fond Wes and Blake were of him. He will live on forever in our hearts with our copy of the "movie" he and Wes made together for school; The Simonetties".
