I find myself thinking about my brother at the strangest times. I'll be at work, troubleshooting some electrical problem, and proof there he is. Or like now, laying in bed, and it's late.... he's there. I'm not an overly religious person, but when he suddenly jumps into my thoughts, at the oddest times, I'm sure that somehow he is watching over me.... us. All of us. I don't really know what to say, even now, months later, except that I miss him. And I'm blown away at the number of people who knew him. Love you Dan. And I'll see you when I get there brother.

Well Dan,
Today we say goodbye and celebrate you. I'm at such a loss as we go through pictures and remember you from a baby to a man with babies of his own. Your infectious smile your love of the Oilers your happy times will be forever remembered. Your ability to just sit with the kids on the floor and be a part of whether it was Barbies or reading a book. Your innocent love of kids programs. I'm so sad but understand you were tired of the pain. Well my nephew, my friend, my family your pain is finally gone. I can feel you guiding me and know others in the family can too. I love you Dan and will see you again please watch over us and give Dana a hug for me.

In a Galaxy far far away there now settles the brightest star we all have seen .
As I sit under the stars and write this hundred of thoughts come to mind .
Flooded with emotions and tears brimming .
I'm remembering the most amazing man I know and privilege of calling my family.
This man I looked up to and saw a true sparkle . I always knew something amazing was about to happen as we went on so may of our adventures.
Being part of the youngest in our families we hooked on to each other and I believe had a true and solid bond between us .
I can remember the ties playing at grandmas
All of us down stairs , and us being the youngest being the runts in Mikes army .
I'm reminded of our outing with grandma where we had made up a code as grandma got cross with us for saying whoa baby at passing girls we came up with our code whoa robo.
As I also remember Dan was set and determined to build a house that would fold up in a brief case . Many hours and planning and drawing were had.
As it gets darker out my emotions grow heavy and I am reminded that Dan has left us far to soon in life .
And then I see it the brightest star I have ever seen .
I knew then that was Dan looking down on me giving me the warmest hug and me knowing my heart has grown bigger because of him.
So I say to you look to the sky and you will always see Dan the most amazing man and cousin who felt so close as a brother I have had in my life.
I know Dan will always be there he's the brightest shinning star in the sky.
Now as he walks through the. Clouds side by side with grandpa . Them talking about life and fishing and singing thistle hair .
I know he's always there
Dan I love you and until we meet again rest.
Love.
Craig

After visiting with friends and family, I'm bowled over by the depth of love for this young man.
It's nothing short of tragic that he was taken from us at such a young age.
