Mark, Missie, Paul and Families,

Couldn't help but think of Dan as the Orange Wave rolled across Alberta. We were remembering many great evening discussions after dinner with Mark and Dan re: the politics of Alberta and its place in Canada. Would have loved to have had his views on the current changes. We'll miss him a lot.

My Sincere Sympathies to Dan's family. I had the privilege of working with Dan for 30 years at the Alberta Legislature. Each and every time there was an election, or a shuffle, Dan was absolutely invaluable in helping us get our MLAs settled in their new offices, and ensuring they had all the equipment they needed. And always with a smile. So humble. Who knew he had a law degree!! Miss you Dan. You were one of the really great people who served the Alberta Government to the very best of your ability! ==Wendy King (retired)

Very saddened to learn of Dan's passing. Our friendship dates back 30 years, during which time Dan enriched my life with his gentle spirit and his encyclopedic knowledge of politics, travel, music, sports and the world in general. The NEHD won't be the same without you, Dan.

To Dan's family: You have my sincerest sympathies on the passing of your dear brother and uncle. He was such a good guy. Always came to my desk, " Allison, you know everything!" but he was the one who knew everything. He is missed here at the LAO.
