I proudly served with Dan while we were stationed at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Dan and my ex-wife, also a Marine, grew up in the Lakes Region of NH. We loved talking about New England and our desires to return home to the Granite State. I retired from active duty in 2003 and went back to NH. I wish we had not lost touch with each other. Dan was a good Marine, a good man, and someone others truly appreciated and respected. He will be missed.

Daniel - you will be missed my man. It might surprise you, but I´ve thought of you often over the years. You were my teammate, workmate, and friend. Thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences to you, your family, and your friends. Peace, brother.

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. Reading about Daniel, it's clear he was a truly special person-a Marine who served his country and a man whose kindness and humor touched so many. His story of 'doing it his way' and his family's touching message about seeking help really resonated with me. I'm thinking of you and your entire family and sending you my deepest sympathies.
